Well now, since it is coming up on 2 years since the last post, I should probably say something.
As you surely have noticed, the Den of Iniquity now has ads. For a short time they covered the server costs, but ad revenue has gone down (despite steady/increasing traffic). They now cover roughly half, or less, of the server costs. If this continues I may just drop the ads and pay for all of it out of my pocket.
I recently restarted my efforts to go through all the images and tag them. I'm up to 5000 (after continuing at 4888). It will take ages to get through them all, especially with school and work, but I'll keep working on it.
Sometime in the future I intend to write up a blurb detailing the purpose of this site, but I'm writing way too much for school to put energy into that right now.
That's what is going on behind the scenes at the DoI. I'll try and be a little more active on this blog from now on, but don't expect much.

It's back
The Den of Iniquity is back!
After a little over a month the Den of Iniquity is finally online again. I apologize for the downtime. Some things happened with our host, and during what was one of the busiest months of my life. However we are now back, and with a new host. This allows us to use Shimmie v2, the new sexier Shimmie =D
Some important notes:
The site went down May 17th, but due to our old host being douchebags I had to use a backup from April 30th when I brought the site back up. I have already re-added all the images that I uploaded during that time frame, but anything added by other users is lost.
Shimmie 2 has a number of new search features, you can find a summary of these features here.
The custom features I had added to Shimmie 1 are no longer present (though some were officially added to Shimmie 2 by Shish, like the random page link and aliases). For instance; Image Rating is gone for the moment. According to the Shimmie 2 roadmap Image Rating is planned for a future release, so with any luck we will have it again in the nearish future.
